With a multidisciplinary team of experts headed by André Horn, BDO has advised a consortium from the energy industry about shares in 450connect GmbH on the buyer’s side.
The aim of the transaction was the joint application for the 450 MHz radio frequency in order to establish and operate a blackout-proof radio network across Germany for the energy and water industry as well as for other industries in future. The total volume of the transaction is in the hundreds of millions.

The consortium includes the regional energy suppliers TEAG Thüringer Energie AG, WEMAG AG, ENTEGA AG, EWE NETZ GmbH, EAM GmbH & Co. KG, Harz Energie GmbH & Co. KG, RheinEnergie AG and Westfalen Weser Energie GmbH & Co. KG. In addition, the consortium was extended during the course of the project to include E.ON SE and Versorger-Allianz 450 eV, whose shareholders currently include MVV Netze GmbH, Netze BW GmbH, Oberhessische Versorgungsbetriebe AG and SWO Netz GmbH.
