The Alsdorf-based HR solutions and services provider VEDA GmbH has taken over the Darmstadt-based blink.it GmbH, a software-as-a-service provider in the field of online learning. blink.it, which belongs to Investcorp, a leading global alternative investment company, was supported in the acquisition by a multidisciplinary transaction team from BDO AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft with financial and tax due diligence.
With the acquisition of blink.it GmbH, which was founded in 2015 and now has more than 270,000 users worldwide for its software, VEDA GmbH is consolidating its position among the leading full-suite HR software and digital payroll-as-a-service providers in the DACH region. With its headquarters in Alsdorf and around 170 employees, VEDA offers a platform solution for digital human resource management, including payroll accounting, time and security accounting, recruiting, personnel development and learning management with the aim of digitising tasks and minimising administrative effort. The company has around 1,200 customers, including MAN, Lufthansa and many medium-sized companies with 150 to 5,000 employees.
BDO supported VEDA GmbH in the context of the acquisition with a multidisciplinary transaction team from the Deal Advisory (Financial Due Diligence, led by Volkmar Berner) and Transaction Tax (Tax Due Diligence, led by Christian Richter) divisions.
