Andrea Bruckner and Parwäz Rafiqpoor take over as chairmen of BDO's Executive Board

As of 1 July 2023, the experienced BDO board members Andrea Bruckner and Parwäz Rafiqpoor have taken over the chairmanship of BDO AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft as dual leaders. They succeed Dr Holger Otte, who announced a few weeks ago that he would hand over the operational management of the company after 13 successful years as CEO and a total of 40 years at BDO. He will continue to closely accompany the future development of BDO in Germany and will also remain closely connected to it as an anchor shareholder.

The new leadership duo embodies the integrated approach of auditing and consulting at BDO and enters with a clear division of responsibilities: Andrea Bruckner stands for quality assurance, digital transformation and sustainability strategy. Parwäz Rafiqpoor manages the commercial and operational area. The board is completed by Roland Schulz, who has been a member of the board for 24 years and is currently responsible for the management of the regions and offices, as well as the new board member Dr Jens Freiberg. At BDO, he is responsible for the Public Interest Entities and will also be increasingly responsible for international business in the future.

The new board can build on a good foundation. Only recently, the pleasing figures for the financial year 2021/2022 were presented. In this period, BDO grew by 14.1 per cent in Germany to a turnover of € 347 million and was able to announce new renowned audit mandates - among them the energy company EnBW and the listed automotive supplier Grammer.
